Founder and President
Drawing upon 30+ years of professional experience in computer technology across various industries, my roles have included developer, consultant, information technology specialist, database systems troubleshooter, development DBA, production DBA, DBA team leader, and DBA Manager for SQL Server. Currently a senior SQL Server database Architect with expert level knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Windows operating systems, including integration experience. I have published articles on SQLteam.com, and was named winner of the “Exceptional DBA of the Year” award for 2008. Well-versed in various networking components such as: routers, switches, TCP/IP protocols and networking infrastructure services. Prior software experience includes Transact-SQL, Visual Basic, VBscript, Cobol, and IBM RPG. Currently engaged in the continued refinement of my professional skills to include Microsoft .NET, PowerShell and latest SQL server features.

Complete DBA with experience in installation, configuration, planning, performance, availability and capacity monitoring, performance optimization, problem resolution, and troubleshooting. contingency planning and disaster recovery, database backups and restores, database administration training and mentoring.
Expert knowledge of all version of SQL Server from 6.5 through 2016
Experience with High Availability solutions – Always On, Clustering and database mirroring.
Database professional with 30 years of IT experience and 20+ years with Microsoft Operating systems and SQL server RDBMS.
Actively involved in architecture, design, administration, mentoring, and operations support of approx. 300+ Microsoft SQL servers. The environment is comprised of 4000+ databases that vary in size from 2mb to 2tb.
Hardware platforms include Dell, Compaq, IBM, and Hewlett Packard. Configuration up to: 60 cores servers with Terabyte of RAM in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
Serve as SQL server subject matter expert in developing, deploying and managing databases in Client-Server, web and enterprise environments.
Work directly with Microsoft on SQL Server 2014 TAP (Technology Adaption Program)
Authored enterprise-level approved standards for SQL server, pertaining to database physical design. Also wrote SQL Server Administration Best practices, and Developers Best practices documents for corporate DBA and development teams.
Implemented SQL server maintenance utilizing custom-developed process including various backup solutions, including 3rd party vendors (LiteSpeed, Red-Gate backup).
12+ years of experience with SQL Server in database backup and restores, replication, High-Availability fail-over clustering, database and client application optimization and tuning, programming T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and triggers, Trace/Profiling, Server and client connection configuration and optimization, performance monitoring, and alert monitoring and notification.
Experienced with custom and 3rd party packaged applications, networking protocols, desktop configurations, and server and storage infrastructure.
